About

Jus de Rose

Scent is one of the most powerful and wonderful senses that we have. It can trigger emotions and memories that are so unique to each of us, making the perception of fragrance entirely personal. Scent has always been a big part of my life and one might call me completely and utterly obsessed. I happily invite all types and forms of olfactive expression, there is no discrimination here, the more the merrier!

A fragrance is so much more than a list of ingredients. It opens up a universe of infinite possibilities and creative expression. In today’s world, there is no lack of creativity when it comes to the juice itself. Rather, I find it challenging to relate to the advertising that supports the fragrance. Although the imagery and execution may look beautiful, more often than not, campaigns tend to be a one-dimensional representation of a perfume. This makes it hard to fully immerse yourself within its universe. I created Jus de Rose to go beyond this idea and offer a more holistic view of scent.

Jus de Rose is a perfume blog that explores a multi-dimensional view of scent based on my own perception, memories and experiences. My mission is to transport you to a place of enchantment where the fragrance is palpable and relatable. You can expect a mix of various sources of inspiration including – but not limited to – fashion, lifestyle and food as it relates to a scent. Fragrance is an experience!

Originally from Switzerland, I spent a large proportion of my childhood in tropical Singapore only to find myself studying biology in snowy Canada. I decided to pursue my passion for perfumes in France, where I obtained a master’s degree in perfumes and cosmetics at ISIPCA. After working with Firmenich (a leading house of fragrance creation) and Estee Lauder for two years, I am now based in London, where I continue to work in beauty all whilst sniffing wonderful things in my spare time.
